Module Reflection – Ada Chan

Participating in this module gave me lots of fun.

At first I was a bit nervous, as I only know a little about learning objects, however through the lectures and practices in class I gradually learned more…

In this course I have learnt about:
  1. Different types of LO such as information objects, simulation objects, practice objects and conceptual objects.
  2. Different Design principles of LO such as
    • Coherence principle to trim out what is unnecessary and extraneous
    • Signaling principle to provide cues to highlight the structure of essential materials such as grouping them into different colors and bold the key words.
    • Redundancy principle to accompany pictures with words
    • Multimedia principle to add human voice as narration of pictures helps stimulates audio and visual memory.
    • Informal balance to let the main theme stand out to catch recipients’ attention.
     3. Tips on designing m-learning tools:
    • not just cope with the small size but also make use of the features like zooming and dragging.
Reviewing our work in class inspired me a lot with my classmates’ innovative ideas. Your valuable comments to my project also helped me improved a lot.

I’ve certainly learnt a lot from you all.   Thank you very much.

Thanks a lot to Thomas for his guidance all through the module.

P.S. I was once so introverted that I don’t’ want to talk about myself, after watching your introductions, I wish to share with you more.  Here comes my revised LO introducing myself.
