Module Reflection – Ada Chan

Participating in this module gave me lots of fun.

At first I was a bit nervous, as I only know a little about learning objects, however through the lectures and practices in class I gradually learned more…

In this course I have learnt about:
  1. Different types of LO such as information objects, simulation objects, practice objects and conceptual objects.
  2. Different Design principles of LO such as
    • Coherence principle to trim out what is unnecessary and extraneous
    • Signaling principle to provide cues to highlight the structure of essential materials such as grouping them into different colors and bold the key words.
    • Redundancy principle to accompany pictures with words
    • Multimedia principle to add human voice as narration of pictures helps stimulates audio and visual memory.
    • Informal balance to let the main theme stand out to catch recipients’ attention.
     3. Tips on designing m-learning tools:
    • not just cope with the small size but also make use of the features like zooming and dragging.
Reviewing our work in class inspired me a lot with my classmates’ innovative ideas. Your valuable comments to my project also helped me improved a lot.

I’ve certainly learnt a lot from you all.   Thank you very much.

Thanks a lot to Thomas for his guidance all through the module.

P.S. I was once so introverted that I don’t’ want to talk about myself, after watching your introductions, I wish to share with you more.  Here comes my revised LO introducing myself.

Thank you very much for your valuable advices.

I have made an revised version of learning activities as per attached.

The LO is too large to be uploaded, please access through the link below.

My Final Project about Formation of Rain

My final project is about the Formation of Rain, the components include videos for tutorial and games for practice,  I plan to have a PowerPoint to link them up.   Students will learn in modular basis,  I shall also talk about different types of rain, i.e. Relief rain, Convection rain and Frontal rain.

The game in scratch can be found at http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/20495547/.

Sorry that because I have spent much time on learning scratch and this is what I've done so far, shall refine and show you more next week.

Vincy's introduction Ver2.0

Introduction about Ada Chan

Revise of the instruction (Vivian)

Reflection:
1, use the computer screen as the background picture, because we are IT people.
2, There are two main parts of my introduction. First one use the white word color, second one use the black word color.
3, use one picture of myself, to draw attention of others.
4, signaling principle. Highlight the key words, the title.
