  1. Hi Free Coffee Group, my name is Joanne Fong and I am from the BOLD group.

Overview: Pictures and words are used in this presentation and this LO is presented in form of a pictorial model by organizing different images of rain according to its size. Students are provided with different sizes of rain to pick from on the first page. The following pages represent how change in velocity affects these different rain drop sizes by using images of raindrops and text explantation.

Design Prinples applied: Signaling Principle (highlight of raindrop size); Temporal Continguity Principle (words and pictures presented simultaneously rather then successively); Multiplemedia Principle (words and pictures then from words alone).

I like the chosen images of different raindrops as they are fun and interesting. However, I would like to suggest adding lables of "velocity" on the axis and not only mentioning this word in the text explanation because High/Middle/Low may also refer to other factors such as pressure. By labeling the axis properly, it could help to clarify students' concept of the key factor "velocity" rather than just using high/middle/low.
